Charity of the year selected

The Bristol JLD committee is pleased to announce that it has chosen BrAMS as its charity of the year for 2010. Based at Frenchay Hospital, BrAMS (the Bristol and Avon Multiple Sclerosis Centre) aims to address the needs of MS sufferers in the area whilst also contributing to locally-established research programmes.

With over 2,000 MS sufferers in the Bristol and Avon area, mostly aged 20-40, the Bristol JLD is proud to be supporting this worthwhile cause over the coming year.

Bristol JLD launches new website – sort of

You may not notice at first, but we’ve just had a MAJOR overhaul of our website.  The changes are mostly behind-the-scenes computer-geek things, but you’ll probably find a few things missing for the next few weeks until we get it all put back together.

In the future, it will be much easier for us to update the website, with photos and event details, and generally keeping you updated. You’ll also be able to leave comments about our news items.  We hope to add even more in the future, so watch this space…
