Self-Care Seminar on 28th May

Bristol JLD, Wesleyan for Lawyers and LawCare are pleased to invite you to a Self Care seminar on how to manage your finances and how to deal with the pressures of working in the law on Wednesday 28th May 2014 from 6.00pm to 8.00pm

There will be a talk from Neelam Sehreen, Business Development Associate at Wesleyan for Lawyers in relation to managing your finances. Neelam will cover areas such as; Money management, mortgages, savings and investments, protecting your most valuable assets, long term goals and employee benefits.

Followed by a talk from Ann Charlton, Co-ordinator at LawCare in relation to how to deal with the pressure of working in the law. Ann will focus on why young lawyers must look after their health, how to recognise signs of stress and tips on how to manage stress.

Ann Charlton’s section of the evening will hold a 0.5 CPD accreditation for each attendee.

Followed by a Q&A session and further informal chat over refreshments.

Making the move in-house; a guide for private practice lawyers


The first in a series of informal career events aimed at junior lawyers to help develop, manage and explore their career options.

The number of in-house lawyers has grown exponentially over the last 10 years; a trend that looks set to continue. This event led by experienced in-house lawyers focuses on the move from private practice, opportunities and drawbacks faced by in-house lawyers, and what the future may hold.
