National JLD trip to Borneo (and beyond!)

You may recall the recent JLD/Raleigh expedition to Borneo, which saw JLD volunteers assisting to bring a clean water system to a village in Borneo.

Our members have been invited to join the National JLD at 18:00 for 18:30 on 2 February 2010 at Allen & Overy’s offices in London to view the work completed on the pilot expedition to Borneo and see how you can get involved in 2010.  The event will include drinks, canapés and entertainment.

If you are motivated in building your corporate social responsibility profile and interested in taking part in an expedition in 2010 while gaining a full year of CPD points, this event is for you!

Charity of the year selected

The Bristol JLD committee is pleased to announce that it has chosen BrAMS as its charity of the year for 2010. Based at Frenchay Hospital, BrAMS (the Bristol and Avon Multiple Sclerosis Centre) aims to address the needs of MS sufferers in the area whilst also contributing to locally-established research programmes.

With over 2,000 MS sufferers in the Bristol and Avon area, mostly aged 20-40, the Bristol JLD is proud to be supporting this worthwhile cause over the coming year.
