Support The Big Give Christmas Challenge!

Please support LawCare’s Christmas fundraising appeal, The Big Give Christmas Challenge, the UK’s biggest matched fundraising campaign.

LawCare has been providing emotional support to the legal community since 1997 and its recent study on legal mental health in the UK shows that legal professionals are under strain and at significant risk of burnout.  Living and working during the pandemic has also had an impact on mental wellbeing with 59% of respondents indicating they were worried about the additional pressures on their work life balance.  Your donations help to provide much needed support to legal professionals.   

  • £25 can help train a helpline volunteer
  • £40 provides emotional support to one legal professional in need
  • £50 pays for a one hour counselling session
  • £120 provides ongoing peer support to a legal professional in need

If you donate before 12:00pm tomorrow, 7 December, your donation will be doubled from a matched pot of funding that LawCare has already secured.

Bristol JLD Charity Quiz – 01 November

The Bristol JLD and BCL Legal invite you and three friends or colleagues to enter the Bristol JLD Charity Pub Quiz.

Join us at Totos Bar, 125 Redcliff St, Bristol BS1 on Thursday 1st November 2018 from 6.00pm for a 6.30pm start.

There will be a raffle raising money for SARSAS (Somerset and Avon Rape and Sexual Abuse Support) (Charity Number: 1126682) our charity of the year. A strip of raffle tickets will cost £5.00 on the evening.

All students, trainees, paralegals, solicitors, barristers and other junior lawyers are welcome!

Entry costs just £20 per team (max of 4) The ticket includes pizza, chips and a drink each.

The Bristol JLD Ball raised around £2,500 for our charity of the year which was Somerset and Avon Rape and Sexual Assault Support (SARSAS) which helps people who have experienced rape or any kind of sexual assault or abuse at any time in their lives.
